You know, I've heard a lot of players saying they'd like to keep the new character. Others have suggested a "gender swap" weekend event, just for fun. I wonder how many who said they'd never play a certain gender are now having second thoughts.

It's been fun, I sure agree. Although every time I started to move out of a crowded area, I did a double take. "Wait a second!" Oh, right.

Cool

Here are some screenshots of changes to my characters. For the record, all of my characters are female to begin with ... they surely look pretty odd as males, especially my Warrior. O_o

Although, the Ranger transition doesn't look that bad. If I had to rank them from 1 ~ 5 (5 being the best looking), this is how I would rate them with leftmost image being #1:

Sometimes, it's good to lighten up after playing too seriously in high-end areas. I'm actually rather glad for this event. It puts a nice smile on my face.

Lighten up! It's just a game. If you don't like how your characters turned out, then warp to a different town, or wait until tomorrow when things go back to normal. It's that simple-- no need to complain.

this could be implemented in the game: Allow players to change their char look (the name its to much, it could cause confusions with names )
in the char select scren, add a new button with "edit" and the char selection would appear it would be perfect ^_^

Thank you guys at ANet for a really hilarious day! I think I freaked out for about 1 minute before I realized the pranksters for what they really are!

Here are my char's sex changes in order from favorite to least:

I just adore how my Rit looks as a male. Total hottie. But my ele turned into the biggest looking Dork of Fire. The monk and ranger got just awfully cute. And my necro is... well... pink and fugly. And my tank got to be a tomboy LOL!

I noticed a good number of former female warriors testing out their new found powers on unsuspecting former male warriors. I think it was some kind of revenge. I'm not too sure.

But, MAN! It was funny. ^_^

I loved the "event". Took out every single character, even the mules, to see what they looked like as the other gender. Most were ugly to downright hideous. My male paragon looked pretty good as a female, and once I got over the different appearance, I decided I kinda liked my female necro as a male. However, my ele turned out simply bizarre.

What she used to look like:

What she looks like now:

And even on the log in page:

If the changes were permanent, I'd have to make her a mule and put her in a dark corner. After I got done laughing my butt off.

This is a demonstration that they can add hair (or whatever) changer easily to game right now; If you can change the gender, it's plenty obvious you can change whatever you want!

I think this event was great, I wish i could keep my ele and ranger like that! But on a funny note, this event encouraged some unusual hair/face/colour styles, that would never have been attempted or thought of! (probably because the majority of them are ugly) It did add some realism, because everyone from Guild Wars seems like a Underwear model, nice to see some ugly people

Anyway heres my characters transformation, (left is after, right is before) after/before

I'm willing to bet that I have the greatest pretty-to-ugly swap of all. For those of you that are faint of heart, log out now.

Ahhah it was really alot of funny and hats down to the person at Anet who came up with this idea.

By the way Gaile, I loved seeing your male side in Kamadan.

And the Conga was fun as always.
